Two-day interactive workshop
CMA's Influence in the Workplace is a powerful program that equips individuals and teams to more effectively gain buy-in from their staff, colleagues and managers to projects and initiatives.
The typical modern organisation operates with flatter management structures than ever before, and with a growing emphasis on collaboration across teams and functions. As a result, it is more important than ever for individuals to understand how to influence those around them, without simply relying on vested authority.
This two-day workshop will provide you with the workplace persuasion skills to dramatically impact the way your organisation functions, while forging strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
CMA's Influence in the Workplace offers you a set of practical skills and concepts that will enable you to:
recognise the 4 primary sources of influence, and to better understand your existing strengths and weaknesses
gain the buy-in of colleagues, staff and managers, by adopting a value-based methodology of influence
communicate with greater persuasion and inspiration
identify and strategically manage the stakeholders that matter most to your objectives
develop and maintain relationships of greater trust and influence with workplace colleagues
confidently engage with those in positions of higher authority
transform confronting interactions into collaborative problem-solving conversations
CMA's expert consultants are practitioners as well as teachers. The workshop will be engaging and highly practical.
The course blends interactive presentation, group discussion, role-play and case study work, and draws on a variety of learning media. Our careful balance of learning methods is not just enjoyable, it helps you learn, remember and apply the key skills of influencing.
To support your learning during and after the course, you will receive:
Copies of the Harvard Negotiation Project bestseller, Getting to YES: Negotiating an agreement without giving in and other HNP books will be available for sale at the workshop.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are all provided.
