If you've previously completed a negotiation skills workshop with CMA, such as Getting to Yes, then the time has come to refresh and refine your skills!

CMA is pleased to offer a brand new event as part of its public workshop program: CMA's Negotiation Refresher.

Facilitated by one of CMA's expert Senior Consultants, our negotiation refresher program is an experience designed to boost your confidence, refine your skills and create new levels of expertise.

About the Program

CMA’s Negotiation Refresher is a unique learning experience that we’ve created specifically for our negotiation alumni. The session is an intensive coaching and practical skills session, to support you in your journey towards even better outcomes and more powerful working relationships. And with the group capped at 12 participants, the session will be intimate and highly customised to your challenges, questions and needs.

Refresh

We begin by refreshing some critical negotiation insights, and giving you a chance to apply them by working on case studies, and negotiating with our facilitator in a role-play scenario and fellow participants.

Refine

You’ll receive personal feedback and coaching to refine your approach and we’ll send you a DVD containing a copy of your negotiation for your continued reflection and refinement.

Extend

Throughout the day, we’ll pause to draw out key insights around best-practice strategies for negotiators. There’ve been some important new developments in negotiation thinking – and we look forward to sharing them with you.

Workshop format

As with all of our programs, CMA's expert consultants are practitioners as well as teachers. The workshop with Elaine will be engaging and highly practical.

The course blends interactive presentation, group discussion, role-play and case study work, and draws on a variety of learning media. Our careful balance of learning methods is not just enjoyable, it helps you learn, remember and apply the key skills of negotiation.

  • summaries of the key concepts and skills we cover plus a list of suggestions for further reading

  • a quick-reference card on critical negotiation skills

  • access to CMA's "Continuing eLearning" website, including an electronic template that you can download and use to prepare for future negotiations

  • ongoing access to the workshop presenter for any questions

  • a post-workshop DVD that shows you in action in your negotiation role plays
